Rare 1911 second printing. Acceptable. Green Cloth boards with gilded lettering. No dust jacket. Boards have soiling/staining, and rubbing. The gilding has worn off of the textblock. Bookplatefrom the Lord Mayor of Leeds addressed to a student of a local school for winning an essay contest. Free-end papers have heavy tanning, but the interior is still relatively bright for its age. The binding, however, is cracked in multiple places, and one of the nice illustrations at the front of the book is detached from the binding. The copy is readable with only a couple of mild stains. No markings in the text (only on the bookplate).
