Denslow; GOOD rebound in orange cloth boards; original red cloth front board, with pictorial paper pastedown of an elephant and clown, has been pasted down onto the new front board; new endpapers; minor wear to edges and extrems; softening to spine ends; corners lightly bumped; light rubbing to boards and spine; one small chip missing from top corner of pictorial pastedown; binding reinforced with cloth tape between free endpapers and fly leaves; light toning to prelims and page margins; some light closed edge tears and creasing to a few pages throughout; child's name in pencil on front pastdown endpaper; previous owner's inscription (dated 1904) on front fly leaf; two pages have very light pencil markings; else a clean and tight copy of this extremely scarce children's title; rebinding is tastefully, if simply, done; a very nice copy.
