First Edition (1928); First Printing, stated on the copyright page; illustrated endpapers; with numerous black and white photographs and a map; Very Good black-stamped orange cloth boards in a Good unclipped dust jacket, with $3.50 price on front flap; minor shelf stress to edges and extrems; slight softening to spine ends, with tiny closed edge tear to top spine end; very light foxing to bottom edge & moderate foxing to top edge; very light foxing to bottom edges of front and rear boards; extremely light bowing to front board; else a very clean and tight copy; dust jacket is unclipped and has edge wear, with creasing and small closed edge tears to panels and spine ends; 1/2" missing from top spine end of DJ; light chipping to bottom spine end and panel corners; some moderate chipping to top edge of rear DJ panel; light rubbing and faint dust soiling to panels and spine; spine sunned and faded; else a clean dust jacket; extremely scarce title in dust jacket.
